Certificate in Pregnancy Massage

- Do you want to learn some acupressure points to use in pregnancy massage?

A one day course looking at how to improve your skills and confidence with working with pregnant women. Topics covered will be positions of client on couch and how to support and make them comfortable, contraindications will be covered and explained, and some common pregnancy symptoms will be looked at. Massage techniques and routines will be taught. You will also learn some acupressure techniques which can be used for nausea, pre-birth preparation, common pregnancy symptoms, induction of labour and pain relief in childbirth.
This course is taught jointly by Michael Gibbons, College Principal and Elaine Gibbons, a Brighton-based acupuncturist with 17 years experience, specialising in Pregnancy and Fertility Acupuncture.

The venue we run our courses from in Bath is New Oriel Hall, Brookleaze Buildings, in Larkhall, Bath. We believe that Oriel Hall, a restored listed Victorian schoolhouse, meets all our needs and offers great space and a beautiful village setting in Larkhall. Brighton Venues
The Dharma School, The White House, Ladies Mile Road, Patcham, Brighton BN1 8TB. This is a buddhist-based primary school on weekdays and hired by The College of Classical Massage at weekends, with some beautiful teaching spaces and a spacious sunny garden area. It is in vibrant Patcham village on the outskirts of Brighton with plenty of free parking locally and easily accessible, just a few minutes from the A23/A27 junction. Patcham village has a very popular bakery aswell as a deli/cafes and plenty food shops. The buses to Patcham from Brighton are the 5 and 5a. There is plenty of free parking locally. Link to map
Unit 4 Natural Health and Yoga Centre, 20-26 Round Hill Street, Brighton BN2 3RG in the popular Round Hill and Fiveways area. It is easily accessible by bus numbers 50, 50A, 26, 46. By train: London Road station is a 7 minute walk. There is free parking locally. This is a busy yoga and complementary medicine centre with a bright and spacious studio room which has a very relaxed and calm atmosphere.
