Many pregnant women require massage, but many massage therapists lack the confidence to offer this service. This course is designed to improve your professional skills when treating pregnant women and conditions of pregnancy and will comprehensively cover contraindications. You will leave with the skills and confidence to work happily with pregnancy.

A one day course looking at how to improve your skills and confidence with working with pregnant women. Topics covered will be positions of client on couch and how to support and make them comfortable, contraindications will be covered and explained, and some common pregnancy symptoms will be looked at. Massage techniques and routines will be taught. You will also learn some acupressure techniques which can be used for nausea, pre-birth preparation, induction of labour and pain relief in childbirth.
