We continue to have a 100% pass rate. We run weekend and weekday courses making it a highly accessible course.
College Principal, Michael Gibbons, brings much experience of many forms of massage work, learnt over 20 years in the field. His creative and dynamic approach will encourage you to enjoy and get the most out of your training. This course has highly experienced and inspirational tutors.
Body Massage can also be known as Holistic or Swedish Massage. You will also gain an ITEC Diploma in Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.
Body Massage
Classes are taught in a relaxed environment using talks, lectures, visuals and detailed practical demonstration. Students work closely with the tutor learning not only the techniques but also how to protect themselves from the strain and stress while carrying out body therapy.
You will learn the classic techniques of massage – effleurage; petrissage and the percussions including hacking, cupping, beating, pounding, tapotement. You will also learn frictions and vibrations and deeper massage techniques using forearms and elbows.
An important part of training with the college is to trust and develop your intuition and blend massage techniques to suit each individual.
