ITEC Diploma in Indian Head Massage
In traditional Indian society, massage is a part of everyday life. Babies are massaged soon after birth. By the age of six, most children are able to give massage to their brothers and sisters.
Indian Head Massage can be done at any time, working through clothes, seated on an ordinary chair and with or without oils. The soothing strokes on the face and head, combined with deep pressure into the back and shoulders help melt away tension and stress. Indian Head Massage can be combined with other treatments, such as Reiki, Reflexology, and Holistic Massage.
You will learn how to provide a professional Indian Head Massage; different oils and their uses; the chakras and doshas; how to take a consultation and case study; contraindications and hygiene.
This course can be taken:
- As a post-graduate course (ie you already have a recognised qualification in Anatomy and Physiology, and Professional Conduct and Business Awareness).
- For students with no previous experience. In this instance, you will also have to take the Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and the course in Professional Conduct and Business Awareness. Please see details of these courses for course fees. (Note that hese fees are additional to the Indian Head Massage tuition fee).

Case Studies
You will need to record and practise 3 massages on 3 clients.
