ITEC Diploma in On-Site Massage
Seated massage is an extremely versatile and practical technique to add to your skills. This technique can be applied through clothes which can be ideal to take into company workplaces to help staff who may be feeling tired, stressed and/or run down. This can help their overall wellbeing and work performance. It can also be applied in the treatment room as a short relaxing massage and could be especially beneficial for people who may have problems lying down on a massage couch for example pregnant women and clients with mobility problems.
You will learn the techniques of classical massage and how they are adapted to be used on the on-site chair. We will look at using the technique with and without oils. The massage routine can be adapted to provide 10, 15 or 30 minute massages.

We will also be looking at the Thai Yoga 10 Sen lines to incorporate some acupressure points into our routine.
It is common to see this type of massage provided in airport lounges, at trade shows, festivals and conferences of various types. The ease of set-up and the potential for giving short treatments make it a highly adaptable technique to have.
This is a post-graduate qualification. To gain the ITEC Diploma, it is a pre-requisite to have the ITEC Diploma in Holistic Massage, and Anatomy and Physiology, Professional Conduct and Business Awareness or equivalent.
You will need to purchase an On-Site Massage chair for this course and bring it with you to the tuition sessions. We do have some spare, so if you have difficulties with this, please contact us.
